Pleasantville

Following on from Limbo, i decided to look at other things which i remember, things which play with the idea of colour and its use.

Pleasantville is one of my favourite films which messes with colour. From the trailer, it is clear that the introduction of new people and ideas changes the world of Pleasantville, converting their lives by introducing colour to it. This slow introduction of colour helps me appreciate the use of colour, and that certain things will stand out more, if the focus is upon that object. Case in point, the red rose amongst the grey bush within the trailer.
