Presentation Notes

After presenting on Thursday 14th, i had an A4 page of notes which included things that need to be change d within my animation. I was unhappy with the style of and feel of it, and these were things that other people caught upon, thus allowing me to be inundated with ideas of how to improve it/change it so that the style is something that i enjoy.

The Camera needed to be re-mapped in order to be more decisive towards either a physical presence (animal) or whether the camera is floating amongst the scene, taking the human element out of it and making it more revealing and exploritory. This idea is something which i felt would help with the message behind my piece, considering i am wanting the wasteland the be desolate and absent in life.

The sky was another thing which was suggested as being changed as it seemed fake towards the end. My idea upon this was to play about with the colour and feeling of the sky. After having a play with colour. i liked the feeling of having a red sky. This colour evokes feeling of dread and within some myths, signifies the spilling of blood. These are both themes within my piece, especially considering it is a post-apocalyptic environment. The use of the red sky is also representative of nuclear fall-out, that the 'event' has changed the sky, torn it open and filled it with fear.

By changing the sky, the feeling of the piece has changed therefore, the rest of the textures are now obsolete amongst the scene. These were then stripped of there bump maps and simplified. The colour of everything has been changed as well, knocking back the use of shading and texture so that the colours are blocked out and then desaturated.

The aim of these changes is to make it more like a graphic novel.
